Photo from the other end of the camera.

This photo was just sent to me by Nigel Price, editor of Flypast magazine. The photo was taken during the Me 262 and Mosquito formation flight and it made me smile a bit. I hardly ever have time to sit still for long but photos like this remind me of some of the amazing things we do up in the sky.

Me 262 and Mosquito KA 114

The Me 262 and Mosquito are both owned by the Military Aircraft Museum and are seen in formation near their home base back in May. These two aircraft feature in the latest Flypast magazine and are my two favourite aircraft from WW2, both designs were ahead of their time and to fly with them both was amazing, and it is difficult to know if these two types flew together as friends but they are now. Thanks to everyone who made the flight possible.

A new restoration.

Here is shot of a "new" Auster, this was restored by Andrew Vincent and JEM Aviation based at Omaka assisted with the project as well. The aeroplane looks brand new!!

A couple of other high wings.

Flew with these aeroplanes a few weeks ago as well.

Down by the river.

We went and did some bush flying last weekend, was a great trip with some nice photos.

Sounds Air's latest Caravan.

Here are a couple of photos of ZK-SAY which has been in service for a few months and we finally took some air to air photos of it last weekend.

Latest Cover.

Latest Cover shows Mosquito KA114 flying in the USA during one of the photo flights last month.

Latest Cover.

Latest Cover: Here is the picture on the cover of the Warbirds Over Wanaka 2014 book, a bunch of these arrived a few days ago. Nice to see the Anson on the cover. I had the cover on this book back in 2012 but didn't know exactly which image... was being used on the cover and the shot that was to be used ended up on a magazine cover just before the book was about to be printed so it had to be changed. Gave myself a good talking to afterwards and lesson learnt.
